therapeutic offerings.

I believe that the body stores and holds all our moments of triumph and trauma.

For this reason, sessions will be focused on expanding your mind-body connection.

  • INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

a time for you to practice being more you.

  • COUPLES COUNSELLING(+)

a time for you to focus on you and your beloved(s).

  • SUPERVISION & MENTORSHIP.

a time for you to focus on you and only you.

As your psychotherapist, I will support you in processing the unconscious material inside your body so you can access your most authentic. With greater access, you will have the capacity to confront the challenges presented in your life consciously, the ones that have led you to seek support.

I believe that to live consciously, we must be ruthlessly faithful to the body's wisdom.

I also believe that being ruthlessly faithful to the wisdom of our body is an ongoing practice that will never be perfectly performed. I will direct our time together to be a space for you to practice connecting to the place only you can ever go; your body.

I will guide sessions to spiral between processing unconscious material housed in the body and anchoring any generated insights into a newer understanding that might alter your perceptions of self, relationship, the past… and the situation or scenario that initially led you to seek my support. My therapeutic approach is client-centred, mindfulness-based, and feminist-oriented. It incorporates body-oriented psychotherapies (somatic psychology) based on current therapeutic research, such as interpersonal neurobiology.

how i support.

I work one-on-one to help harmonize the divide between body, mind, and heart by utilizing my training in depth psychology, relational somatics, intersectional feminism, and interpersonal neurobiology. My professional education and experience inform how I walk alongside you as your psychotherapist, coach, or therapeutic mentor in restoring a relationship with all parts of you (every part of you is welcome).

  • Somatic Experiencing® addresses trauma by focusing on bodily sensations and reactions to promote healing and resilience. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy integrates somatic and cognitive approaches to improve emotional and physical regulation. Hakomi Therapy uses mindfulness to explore unconscious beliefs reflected in bodily sensations. Focusing-Oriented Therapy emphasizes internal bodily awareness to resolve psychological issues through insight into one’s felt experiences.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that identifies and addresses multiple sub-personalities or parts within a single individual. Each part is recognized for its unique perspective and role within the person's internal system, allowing for a holistic approach to healing. IFS facilitates self-leadership by encouraging the core Self to harmoniously integrate these parts, promoting greater mental health and well-being.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapeutic technique that uses bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, to process and alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. This approach helps reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences, enabling the brain to reprocess trauma. EMDR is recognized for its ability to accelerate the healing process from psychological stress and trauma.

  • Compassionate Inquiry is a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that focuses on uncovering the hidden origins of trauma and chronic conditions. This method guides clients through a process of self-discovery by gently questioning and exploring painful emotional territories, facilitating deep personal insight. The technique emphasizes a non-judgmental and accepting atmosphere, encouraging profound healing and connection with one's authentic self.

  • Somatic Dreamwork is a therapeutic practice that explores the connection between dreams and bodily sensations to uncover deeper emotional and psychological truths. It employs techniques that help individuals embody and experience the feelings and messages of their dreams, rather than just interpreting them. This approach facilitates a deeper integration of dream content with personal healing and insight, enhancing emotional processing and self-awareness.

  • Depth psychology, as articulated by Carl Jung, delves into the unconscious aspects of the psyche to reveal hidden emotional and mental processes. It emphasizes the exploration of dreams, symbols, and archetypes to uncover deeper layers of the self and promote psychological integration. Jung's approach fosters personal development and self-understanding by connecting individuals with their collective unconscious.
